Bike Logs Version Log

The version log is a chronological list of all updates to Bike Logs, showing when an update was released and what it achieved. The log can be useful when checking if any problems you may be encountering have been fixed in a later version of the software.

Version 1.0.7 - Released 25/05/2007

	25/05/2007	Fixed automatic update failure when local folder is missing.
The automatic update routine would fail to download the latest update from the web site if an update folder did not exist locally. Bike Logs now creates the update folder if it is missing.
	30/04/2007	Fixed icon displayed when creating new ride type and distance filters.
When creating a new filter in the Options Window the wrong icon would be displayed until the window was closed and re-opened, this no longer happens.
	12/04/2007	Bike weight field added to Bike Window.
The database has contained a field for recording a bike's weight for some time and the field now is now represented in the Bike Window.
	12/04/2007	Removed comment field width limitation from Bike Window.
For no good reason, the comment field in the Bike Window was limited to 25 characters, this limit has been removed.
	12/04/2007	Removed the June 1st beta expiry deadline.
As of version 1.0.7, Bike Logs is no longer considered a beta product and will not expire at some point in the future.

Version 1.0.6 - Released 11/01/2007

	11/01/2007	Online update facility now built in to main program.
Online updates were previously handled by a separate system tray program which provided limited feedback on the process, particularly if there was a problem.
	05/01/2007	Added structure repair options to database management.
Additional facilities for fixing issues that the automatic database update may not handle, such as deprecated tables and fields or changes in field type and size.
	03/01/2007	Dedicated database management window added.
Considerable improvement in database management with options to change or move the current database or create a new one. Also moved the existing compact and repair option to this window.
	31/12/2006	Database now homed in My Documents by default.
To support multiple user accounts and for Windows Vista compatibility default database folder will now be 'My Bike Logs' in the My Documents folder. Existing user databases will be moved.
	31/12/2006	Automatic database creation for new users.
Each user account on a computer will now get their own database which will be automatically generated if one does not exist.
	30/12/2006	Added Last Used column to route list.
Additional column added to route list view to show the last date each route was used.
	30/12/2006	Support for recording cadence details of ride log.
Average and maximum cadence fields added to ride log table to allow more sophisticated training programs to be tracked. Charts for this data will be added in a later release.
	29/12/2006	Fixed column click index error when sorting route list.
Fixed a bug introduced in last update's sort order improvements. When sorting the route list clicking on some column headers resulted in an index run-time error.
	29/12/2006	Built-in database management for on-the fly updates.
Imported functionality from the DataTool utility allowing database schema changes to be automatically applied when Bike Logs starts.

Version 1.0.5 - Released 27/12/2006

	27/12/2006	Fixed incorrectly labelled axis in duration charts.
When viewing a duration based chart the y axis was incorrectly labelled as distance rather than duration.
	27/12/2006	Disabled column click sort option when using daily list view.
The daily list view is not designed to be sorted and, whilst it was possible to click on the column headers, doing so achieved nothing. The column headers buttons are now disabled in the daily list view.
	27/12/2006	Fixed numeric column click sort order problems.
When sorting the ride log list view, by clicking on a column's header, some numeric fields did not sort correctly. The list now sorts as you would expect.

Version 1.0.4 - Released 24/10/2006

	24/10/2006	Route's total climbing now calculated when importing a track.
When importing a track that contains elevation data the import routine will update the route's total climbing text box, if it is empty.
	20/10/2006	Added bug report option to help menu.
For use while beta testing, loads the bug report form on web site with product and windows version number fields pre-populated.
	19/10/2006	Ride log options section added to options window.
New section to allow customisation of the elements displayed on the Ride Log window as it is beginning to get crowded with everything enabled.
	18/10/2006	Save Ride Log and Route behaviour configurable in the options window.
Cosmetic change when saving Ride Logs and Routes; new option settings to continue or exit the windows when updating an existing record and creating a new one.
	17/10/2006	Support for Max Heart, Avg Power and Max Power ride log data added.
New heart rate and power usage fields added to ride log table to allow more sophisticated training programs to be tracked. Charts for this data will be added in a later release.

Version 1.0.3 - Released 08/10/2006

	08/10/2006	Previous and Next buttons added to Ride Log toolbar.
New navigation option when viewing ride logs, allows the previous or next ride logged to be viewed via a single button click.
	08/10/2006	Ride Log buttons moved to a toolbar to match rest of application.
Toolbar added to Ride Log window to consolidate the buttons and match the look and feel of the rest of Bike Logs.
	07/10/2006	Track log export section added to options window.
New section to provide much greater control over the options available when exporting track profiles to an image file.

New section to move the various Track Log options to one place, as well as new options such as track profile colour settings and jpeg export quality.

Window size increased and tab style section selection replaced with a tree view that will make it much easier to add more options later.
	04/10/2006	Fixed issue with track profile colour occasionally filling entire chart.
The fill colour would occasionally fill the entire profile chart area, due to the fill operation getting confused by the vertical grid lines. These are now drawn after the fill has taken place.

Version 1.0.2 - Released 26/09/2006

	26/09/2006	Gearing tab added to bike management window.
New database option to record the crank, gear and wheel sizes in the database and for Bike Logs to display the various commonly used ratios that express this information.
	26/09/2006	New picture size label displayed during bike window resize.
Added a label to the picture tab off the bike management screen to show the display size of the image in pixels while the window is being resized.

Version 1.0.1 - Released 14/09/2006

	14/09/2006	Improved update log information windows.
Added option to filter update list by version and category and added toolbar to the update details window to allow selection of previous or next update.
	13/09/2006	Redesigned bike management window.
Original design was cluttered, the window is now resizable with tabs to choose between bike details or picture. The new layout will also make adding more features easier in the future.
	11/09/2006	Frequently used route changes not updated in filter.
Changes made to frequently used routes were not reflected in the route filter until the next time Bike Logs was loaded. They now update the route filter immediately.
	10/09/2006	Ride Type filter setup standardised.
The ride type filter configuration options were a little unfriendly. The layout has been changed to match the new styling used by the distance filter.
	07/09/2006	Filter ride log by distance option.
Additional tool bar button to filter the ride logs displayed by the distance of the ride and a new tab in the options window to customise the distance filters.
